Key
responsibilities will be:
- Oversight
of the medical department staff (nurses, practice coordinator, medical
assistant)
- Serving
as an operations contact for the psychiatrists, CRNPs, and PAs (approving
schedule changes, coordinating coverage during absences of medical
providers, relaying expectations, reinforcing accountability to agency
standards and expectations)
- Ensuring
the smooth functioning of day-to-day psychiatric medical operations
(acceptance/intake of new clients, management of waitlists, scheduling,
refills/refill requests, prior authorizations, communication/coordination
of care with other providers, nursing services, and documentation in the
medical record)
- Working
closely with the Medical Director to ensure compliant and quality care
- Supporting
department staff and functions by completing some/all of these duties
alongside the other staff as necessary
- Creating,
implementing, and ensuring efficient processes, in cooperation and close
coordination with the other managers of the outpatient program and
customer engagement department
Qualifications:
- Minimum
of 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a psychiatric program or medical
office setting
- Strong
organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- At
least a basic knowledge of medical billing and coding practices
- Knowledge
of the regulations governing Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics
- Mental
Health Worker criteria preferred (i.e. a Bachelors degree in a behavioral
health field)
