Ability to:

  • Effectively communicate with customers and insurance companies.
  • Effectively utilize an electronic medical record.
  • Conceptualize processes and understand complexities across many roles within the agency.
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to be very organized, detail-oriented, and works well under stress.
  • Function effectively as a member of a team that may include behavioral health and primary care providers, consumers, and family members.
  • Understand how trauma affects an individual and know effective ways to respond to individuals who have experienced

Education and/or Experience/Qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet. High School diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with medical billing and coding preferred.
