TrueNorth is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to work in a split position with our IBHS and Autism program. 
This is a full-time position.

  • Full-time position, split with IBHS and AKC
  • Works with youth who have behavioral and emotional challenges
  • During the school year, daytime hours are primarily in schools and daycares, working one-to-one with the youth (IBHS hours)
  • During the school year, 2 evenings/week are at the Amazing Kids Club, our specialized autism center for youth, where social skills are taught in a group setting.
  • During the summer months, all hours are worked at the Amazing Kids Club

Job Responsibilities:

  • Are to teach,  coach, and model social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Works as a team member with a master's level clinician'
  • Local travel is required (ex: between school assignments)
  • Training and supervision are provided

Qualifications:

  • Applicants that provide BHT services shall meet one of the following:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services
  • Certification as a BCaBA, RBT or BCAT
  • Have a High School Diploma or above 

RBT/BHT Training program is available for eligible candidates new to the behavioral health field with a High School Diploma without the above qualifications. Inquire about these opportunities to learn more.

Job Requirements:
The position requires three clearances (Pennsylvania ChildLine Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Check). Mandated Reporting training and a sealed college transcript are also required.  If applicants don't already have these clearances, the agency can provide instructions on how to apply for them.
