Ability to complete assessments using the ASAM criteria and make recommendations for the appropriate levels of care under the direction of the Director of Substance Abuse Treatment

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients both verbally and in writing. Use motivational interviewing with other treatment modalities to guide clients collaboratively into recovery.


Must meet one of the following:

  • Master's Degree in the human service area.
  • Working towards a Master's Degree in the human service field with a BA degree in a discipline approved by DDAP
  • A bachelor's degree in an approved area of study as outlined by DDAP and knowledge in the field of addiction.
  • Licensure in the Commonwealth as a Registered Nurse
  • Hold a CADC at the time of hire.
  • TrueNorth Wellness requires 25 clock hours of training in a year in areas that meet health department / D&A licensing requirements.
