Job Duties:

  • Fundraising Strategy & Execution
    • Assist in developing and implementing annual fundraising plans.
    • Manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
    • Conduct donor research and identify new funding opportunities.
  • Donor Relations
    • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors and prospects.
    • Coordinate and participate in donor meetings, events, and site visits.
    • Maintain donor records in a database with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Grants & Proposals
    • Research, write, and submit grant proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, and government agencies (with the assistance of an outside vendor), in conjunction with the senior leadership team.
    • Track reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Campaigns & Events
    • Support or lead fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, capital campaigns, and online giving days.
    • Assist in planning and executing fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Collaborate on donor-focused materials such as newsletters, appeals, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
    • Work with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging to donors and the public.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry certification a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related field.
  • Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven record building relationships and consensus - internal and external.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Experience with fundraising databases preferred.
  • Passion for the mission of TrueNorth Wellness Services and the services provided.

Work Environment:

  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work for events or donor meetings.
  • Position requires additional time spent traveling from home-base office to outside appointments. Most job duties are performed in a variety of climate-controlled environments.
  • Driving is required, as field time will involve approximately 25% of overall duties.
  • Hybrid work may be available.
