  • Maintain their personal time sheets and submit bi-weekly, according to Agency policy
  • Must be appropriately attired at all times
  • Responsible to wear all provided safety apparel and use all equipment according to the safety instructions.
  • All Maintenance staff shall not operate power tools without the explicit approval from the Maintenance Crew Coordinator, and or Facility Manager
  • Must be approved to drive Agency vehicles requiring a valid driver's license
  • May be required to take an Agency driver's test
  • Complete agency trainings in a timely manner
  • Mowing, mulching, trimming, grounds cleanup, shoveling of gravel/dirt/snow, and maintenance of flower beds
  • Exterior and interior painting
  • Moving furniture, desks, appliances and all types of office equipment
  • General repairs to exterior and interior structures
  • Obtain bids for work to be sub contracted out
  • Upkeep vehicle fleet for selected region
  • Operate a pick-up truck with mounted snow plow to clear parking area
  • Operate snow blower safely and appropriately
  • Operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer etc.
  • Coordinate with multiple vendors for bids for county approval
  • Be available to handle emergent needs, serve as the backup for emergency calls and alarm calls (fire and security)
  • Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager

Education and/or Experience/Qualifications:

Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the job; some previous experience in maintenance or similar field is preferred but not a requirement; Ability to report to designated location for work assignments.

Equipment Used (may include, but not be limited to):

For exterior work, ability to use: outdoor tools, lawn mower, snow blower, operate truck with snow plow and salt spreader, small hand tools, etc.; For custodial work, ability to use: vacuum, floor scrubber, carpet shampooer, brooms, etc.

Working conditions (may include, but not be limited to):

Indoor/outdoor in summer and winter, loud noises, cool temperatures, quiet, occasional extra physical duties to ensure the safety of employees and clients, daily interactions with people who may be living with communicable diseases, possible exposure to second hand smoke.
