Location: can be located within York, Gettysburg, or Hanover, with the ability to travel between sites in York/Adams counties and schools as necessary.

Starting pay rate is 19.38 per hour and increases with experience.

Job Description:

  • Manages daily operations of Student Assistance Program and departmental staff.
  • Serving as an operations contact for the staff (approving schedule changes, relaying expectations, reinforcing accountability to agency standards and expectations, providing regular consultation and direction to staff, facilitating staff meetings)
  • Ensuring the smooth functioning of Student Assistance Program operations (compliance with regulations, quality assurance monitoring, handling customer concerns, documentation in the medical record)
  • Hiring, training, and maintaining staff according to the agency's personnel policies
  • Supporting department staff and functions by completing some/all of these duties alongside the other staff as necessary
  • Creating, implementing, and ensuring efficient processes.
  • Ability to monitor and impact the financial health of the program
  • Working cooperatively with schools, area stakeholders and providing positive support to the community
  • Sit on a Student Assistance Program team/provide liaison services as needed to the contracted schools.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Human Services/Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Have a knowledge of school systems and available community resources.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Experience with working with adolescents with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • The ability to network and get along with a variety of different personalities.
  • Previous experience working within the school system, working with adolescents is preferred.
  • Have attended 3 day SAP training provided by a Pennsylvania Approved SAP Trainer or obtain within the first year on the job.
